An international insurance company is searching for a Financial Controller to lead their finance team in Malta. You will report to the Head of Finance, Europe and be instrumental in managing the Finance Department ensuring all internal financial commitments across the European region are met. The ideal candidate will have 2 – 5 years accounting experience within Insurance and be, as a minimum part ACCA qualified. If you are looking for a senior accounting role, please apply for this Malta based Financial Controller role.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage the Finance Department ensuring all internal financial commitments across the European region are met.Review monthly management accounts for the European entities to ensure accuracy of technical provisions and reasonableness of non-technical postings.Review P&L variance analysis and BS reconciliations at month end.Support the forecasting and budgeting process. * Produce monthly cash flow analyses and forecasts.

Review Group deliverables before submission to the Group
Prepare minutes of Reserve Review meetings.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive - Europe, Senior management or the Core team.

Manage the members of the European Finance team and identify their personal development needs.
