- Take ownership of existing business leads and opportunities, focusing on advancing negotiations and closing contracts.
- Manage and grow relationships with government entities, public sector agencies, private and commercial organisations, and strategic partners in Malta and other European countries.
- Lead and coordinate the development of EU-funded projects, working with internal and external stakeholders to shape proposals, secure funding, and deliver successful outcomes.
- Maintain a deep understanding of EU funding frameworks and identify suitable calls and programs in line with the company’s offering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, operations, finance) to ensure solutions are aligned with client needs and funding requirements.
- Represent the company in meetings, events, forums, and partner engagements related to public and private sector innovation and infrastructure projects.
- Capable of demonstrating use cases on the company's software platform.
- Work with the sales and marketing team with regards to any and all customer needs such as but not limited to proposals, pricing, presentations, demonstrations etc. This role will own the commercial / win strategy associated with each of the opportunities originated or owned by this position.
- Monitor and report on project and sales progress, including contract milestones, funding submissions, and partner interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, ICT, EU Affairs, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably with public sector or EU project exposure.
- Proven track record in deal negotiation and closure, particularly in structured or government-related environments.
- Familiarity with EU funding mechanisms and project proposal processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe as required.
- Proven ability to operate independently or as part of a team for larger opportunities.
- Copes with tight deadlines and pressure - must be a self starter focused on 'attention to detail'.
