Reports to: Finance ManagerAbout the RoleR77 is supporting a fast-growing client to hire a detail-driven Junior Accountant fluent in Hindi and English. You'll work onsite with the finance team, handling day-to-day accounting (AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end prep) and acting as a key contact for Hindi-speaking stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, employee expenses and credit notes; ensure accurate coding and timely approvals.
- Prepare customer invoices, allocate receipts, and manage ageing debtors with professional follow-ups.
- Perform daily bank, petty cash and card reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Post journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments) under guidance from the Finance Manager.
- Maintain the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, depreciation).
- Support month-end close: checklist ownership, TB reviews and audit-ready files.
- Liaise with Hindi-speaking vendors/customers to resolve queries and confirm balances.
- Produce basic finance reports (AP/AR ageing, cash position, expense analysis) in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Assist with KYC/finance documentation, compliance records and external auditor requests.
- What Youll Bring
- Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting/Finance (or in progress with ACCA/AAT/ACA).
- 02 years experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance admin (internships included).
- Fluency in Hindi and Englishwritten and spoken.
- Solid Excel skills (lookups, pivots, data cleaning); comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with any accounting system (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- High attention to detail, integrity with numbers and strong organisational skills.
- Clear communicator with a service mindset and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exposure to multi-currency environments and basic VAT concepts.
- Familiarity with Indian finance terminology (e.g., GST, TDS) or markets where Hindi is widely used.
- Experience creating SOPs/checklists or improving finance workflows.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI or data visualisation.
- Onsite role from our Malta office (standard business hours).
