- Work with multiple teams to design, implement, optimise, and maintain solutions
- Update existing documentation and create new documentation when required
- Manage and configure infrastructure services spanning multiple Datacentres
- Innovate and automate processes where possible
- Perform BAU tasks such as firewall rule management, backups, VM builds, patching, and technical troubleshooting
- Lead and/or support projects impacting the business
- Address vulnerabilities reported by external penetration testing partners
- Attend SOC meetings.
- Act on alerts raised by our Firstline Team and monitoring systems.
- When required work after normal business hours (maintenance)
- Part of the on-call rota (Mon-sun)
- 4+ years in a similar role; 5+ years in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure
- Experience with hypervisors (VMware, Proxmox) and Windows Server (2019, 2022)
- Solid networking knowledge (ACL, NAT, VPN)
- Backup solutions and enterprise storage (Dell EMC Unity, HPE Nimble, Dell PowerStore)
- Server hardware setup & management (installation, configuration, iLO, iDRAC)
- Active Directory and Office 365 administration
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end and deliver high-quality results
- Self-motivated, accountable, and eager to learn new technologies
- Azure Cloud technologies
- Intune
- Monitoring systems (Vrops, Grafana, Nagios)
- Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki)
- Switches (Cisco, Meraki)
- Linux Systems Administration (Debian, Ubuntu)
- Automation (Terraform, Ansible)
- RDS
- Knowledge of Business processes (ITIL)
- Working with different regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI)
