Tax Advisor

• Tax Advisory Services: Deliver comprehensive tax, legal and commercial advice to a varied client base, ensuring practical and compliant solutions that safeguard clients’ interests.
• Transactional Support: Provide structured tax input within corporate and commercial transactions, ensuring that fiscal considerations are effectively addressed alongside legal aspects.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and colleagues within the tax team, sharing specialist knowledge to strengthen the department’s technical capabilities.
• Cross-Border Coordination: Liaise with international counterparts and professional networks to facilitate seamless information exchange on multi-jurisdictional tax matters.
• Team Contribution: Promote a cooperative and solutions-driven culture, supporting colleagues and contributing to the ongoing development of the practice.

• Education: ACCA qualification or equivalent is required. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related postgraduate qualification will be considered advantageous.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a tax advisory capacity, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present complex tax concepts clearly and confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Technical Skills: Sound understanding of direct and indirect tax frameworks, with the ability to interpret legislation and apply it to practical scenarios.
• Organisation: Meticulous attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive and capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative and accountability in handling responsibilities.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to assess complex matters and develop commercially viable solutions.
