- Lead the restructuring of the finance department, establishing efficient accounting frameworks and procedures
- Manage daily financial operations, transitioning from basic practices to standardised corporate accounting methods
- Develop and implement financial policies and systems to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts with accuracy and insight
- Manage the full budgeting process, from planning through to monitoring implementation
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes
- Provide management with timely reports and financial data to support strategic decision-making
- Liaise with auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with all requirements
- Lead the selection and implementation of new accounting software, tailoring it to the company’s needs
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and development
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Experience leading or restructuring a finance function is considered a strong advantage
- Hands-on approach with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information
