- Conduct research, develop programs, plan, design, and oversee projects for clients, utilizing expertise in structural engineering, construction techniques, zoning and building regulations, and materials.
- Assist in preparing feasibility studies, planning documents, valuations, and other necessary reports, including contributing to proposal submissions.
- Lead or support research on materials and building systems, as well as coordinate and draft project specifications.
- Perform desktop and field research, estimate project costs, and prepare Bills of Quantities.
- Carry out structural calculations and detailing, ensuring appropriate material selection for new builds, renovations, or conversions.
- Develop work plans, prioritize tasks, and provide technical guidance and timeline recommendations to clients and contractors.
- Support construction teams and contractors by addressing structural concerns and responding to queries during the construction phase.
- Assess and certify completed work, verifying compliance with contractual requirements and confirming the accuracy of payments.
- Undertake any other responsibilities associated with the role of a Structural Engineer.
- Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and Office Suite.
- Excellent technical, design, and engineering skills with a solid understanding of industry standards and approval processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to attend site meetings/inspections, document findings, and contribute to project coordination.
- Capability to lead projects, manage teams, and balance workload efficiently.
- Relevant professional, local experience in structural engineering is a must
- An accredited and recognized degree in structural engineering
