Job DescriptionOur client in the aviation industry is currently looking for an HR Specialist to join their dynamic Human Resources team in Malta. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Specialist will play an integral role in supporting the group's people strategy by managing key HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers across various functions;
  • Collaborating with hiring managers and using diverse channels to promote open roles and attract top talent;
  • Coordinating a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires that reflects the company's culture, vision, and values;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements;
  • Assisting in resolving employee relations matters by providing guidance and support to both employees and line managers;
  • Partnering with managers to implement employee engagement and retention initiatives, including motivation and incentive programs;
  • Coordinating the year-round performance management processes and contributing to the development of performance frameworks;
  • Participating in HR projects focused on enhancing employee experience and organizational development; and,
  • Supporting the HR team with day-to-day operations and various ad hoc responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, Psychology, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a fast-paced or multinational environment;
  • Solid understanding of local labour laws and HR best practices;
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and recruitment processes;
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and databases;
  • A people-oriented and results-driven approach, with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and perform well under pressure; and,
  • A proactive, assertive mindset with a strong sense of initiative and professionalism.
