Group Financial Controller

• Lead the consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across the group;
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow management at group level;
• Implement and monitor robust financial controls, policies, and procedures;
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required;
• Drive automation and digitalisation of financial reporting systems;
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory submissions (ex VAT returns, audited FS, income tax returns etc);
• Partner with operational leaders and the executive team to align financial performance with strategic goals;
• Manage intercompany transactions, and group recharges, and currency exposure;
• Provide analysis and insight on group financial performance, risks, and opportunities;
• Oversee due diligence, acquisitions, and other strategic finance projects;
• Coach and develop finance team members to ensure consistent standards and upskilling;
• Reporting to the board of directors and the CEO.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent recognised accounting qualification);
• Must hold a valid Warrant to Practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Malta;
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or group-level finance role;
• Previous experience in managing group-level consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and complex corporate structures;
• Strong knowledge of GAPSME and IFRS, local tax regulations, and compliance obligations in Malta;
• Exposure to auditing processes, external stakeholder management, and working with regulatory bodies (e.g. MFSA, MTCA, MSE).

• Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and development;
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present strategic insights;
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably ODOO), budgeting software, and advanced Excel;
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment;
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.

• Experience in a publicly listed company or one dealing with investment stakeholders/shareholders;
• Prior exposure to bond issuance, corporate financing, or M&A activity.
