We are seeking a Project Manager to plan, direct and coordinate the construction of civil engineering projects, buildings and dwellings.Tasks include – (a) interpreting architectural drawings and specifications; (b) coordinating labour resources and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment; (c) negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; (d) preparing tenders and contract bids; (e) operating and implementing coordinated work programmes for sites; (f) ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety; (g) arranging submission of plans to local authorities; (h) building under contract, or subcontracting specialized building services; (i) arranging building inspections by relevant authorities; (j) establishing and managing budgets, controlling expenditure and ensuring the efficient use of resources; (k) overseeing the selection, training and performance of staff and subcontractors.ProfilesIf multiple Education and Language Profiles are defined, please note that you must fit at least one of them, but not necessarily all.PROFILE 1LanguageReadingSpeakingUnderstandingWritingENGLISHISCED Level: Bachelor or equivalent - Level (6)Subjects:Subject Level Grade
PROJECT MANAGEMENTCompetencies

Organise supply of equipment and materials, location of machines and storage space on construction site
Determine technical, financial and human needs, starting from the project. Organising the works
Determine supplementary work, presenting it to client for inclusion into the contract
Draw up/recommend projects, plans, programmes for modifications and maintenance (planning, technical studies...)
Present construction site file to the foreman. Give technical advice about materials and applications
Build up a client portfolio. Negotiate services and draw up contracts
Oversee construction sites and monitor activities/progress
