Manpower is seeking to recruit a Trusts & Foundations Executive to join our client's legal team.The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of trusts and foundations, ensuring full compliance with Maltese legislation and regulatory requirements. The role requires a professional with strong technical knowledge of trusts, the ability to work independently with
minimal supervision and the capacity to mentor and guide junior team members.Job Responsibilities:
- Administer and oversee a portfolio of trusts and foundations, ensuring all structures are maintained in good legal standing and compliant with Maltese regulations;
- Liaise with the Groups legal team and other third-party stakeholders in relation to the drafting, reviewing and maintenance of transactions pertinent to each trust deed, foundation statutes, resolutions, minutes and other documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times;
- Handle the onboarding and ongoing monitoring of new trusts and foundations, including conducting due diligence, KYC and AML checks and liaising with the Compliance Department for reviews and approval;
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all required filings with the Malta Business Registry and other authorities, as may be required. Monitor statutory deadlines and ensure adherence to legal obligations;
- Act as the main point of contact for banks, auditors, regulatory authorities and service providers in relation to trust and foundation matters;
- Respond promptly and professionally to client queries regarding the administration of their structures, providing updates and ensuring efficient delivery of services;
- Work closely with colleagues across legal, corporate, tax, accounting and compliance functions to ensure cohesive support for client structures;
- Provide training, support and day-to-day guidance to junior members of the team;
- Track legislative and regulatory changes relating to Maltese trusts and foundations, assess their impact on client structures and prepare internal reports or updates where required;
- Identify opportunities to enhance internal procedures, workflows and best practices for the efficient administration of trusts and foundations;
- Safeguard sensitive client and company information at all times, maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in the trust and foundation sector, preferably within a corporate service provider, fiduciary or legal environment;
- In-depth knowledge of Maltese trust and foundation structures and familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and industry practice;
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and proactively;
- Excellent communication skills in English;
- Team-oriented mindset with experience in mentoring or supporting junior colleagues;
- Detail-oriented, professional and able to handle confidential information with integrity
