Join us in driving Excellence, empowering People, and enhancing Communication to create a thriving and impactful workplace.About the RoleWe are currently looking for a Psychology Assistant to join our team in Gozo on a full-time basis for a definite period of four (4) years. Our Psychology Assistant shall work under the guidance of a warranted Psychologist to support the delivery of psychological services. This role involves assisting with psychological assessments and interventions, providing support to service users, maintaining accurate records, and performing necessary administrative tasks, all as deemed appropriate by the Psychologist. The position is essential to ensuring the efficient operation of psychological services and the delivery of high-quality care to service users and their families.What you'll be doingUnder supervision, the Psychology Assistant will support Psychologists in the following:

Support the assessment process for new clients by utilising appropriate psychological assessment tools and methodologies to help determine eligibility for referred programmes, under supervision.
Conduct assessments under the supervision of the Research & Innovation Department to gather data for ongoing impact evaluations and contribute to the preparation of reports across various programmes.
Follow clients’ progress and assist with periodic reassessments as needed to aid in the monitoring, evaluation, and modification of interventions.
Supporting parents reaching out via the Baby and Me Programme serving as a key point of contact in Gozo to provide clear, accessible information and support. Assist parents in navigating the wide range of services available across the islands, ensuring they are well-informed and connected to appropriate resources that support their families, under the supervision of the Pathfinder Principal Lead.
Design, develop and deliver parent-focused workshops under the guidance of the Pathfinder Principal Lead, and deliver these sessions to support and empower participating families.
Working in partnership with families and other staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client’s needs for the development of their potential and for the creation of an inclusive environment in homes, schools, and the community.
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) for clients and families. Ensure that all plans are evidence-based, aligned with best practices, and developed in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to effectively address behavioural needs and promote positive outcomes.
Maintaining accurate records of services provided and carrying out administrative tasks as required to support the efficient functioning of the department.
Abide by the Psychology Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics as outlined by the Malta Psychology Profession Board (MPPB) at all times.
Substitute our Inclusive Education Practitioners or Support Workers should there be a shortage of staff available for programme sessions.

What we’re looking forAn empathetic, compassionate individual with a sloid backgroung in psychology, excellent observation and analytical skills, open-minded approach.Qualifications & Experience

Recognized degree qualification (rated and MQF Level 6) in Psychology.
At least one (1) year post graduation experience ideally in a similar setting.
High Proficiency in English language (both spoken & written – C1 Level).
