Buyer

• Acting as a business partner for the company's Back end Manufacturing team in Malta and serving as a key interface for its stakeholders and plant Management.
• Overseeing the purchasing activities as may be needed.
• Sourcing and assessing vendors in terms of cost, quality and service.
• Carrying out market studies, supplier visits cross fertilization among sites.
• Managing supplier base and strengthening vendors relationship.
• Negotiating the commercial conditions and contracts with the vendors.
• Performing the tenders for Site Services and Facility projects.
• Managing supplier compensations and liability negotiation as may be needed.
• Issuing, preparing and maintaining Purchasing Orders (PO).
• Managing and maintaining the system updates.
• Monitoring the Supplier Performance Evaluation.
• Organizing work shops and management review with the suppliers.

• Hold a Diploma or higher procurement, economics or similar subjects.
• Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Hold a sound knowledge of office tools (incl. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP, Email).
• Have the "can do" personality.
• Have the ability to connect with people from different levels.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be fluent in English, both written and spoken (advance level requested).
• Be meticulous, self-driven and motivated to learn new skills.
• Be assertive and confident.
• Be able to make decision and able to work under pressure
• Be an excellent team player.
