The Senior Auditor will play a key role in the Audit team, leading client engagements from planning to completion. This role involves applying accounting principles, assessing financial statements, and providing insights to enhance business processes, while interacting closely with client management to deliver high-quality audit services.Key Responsibilities
- Audit Leadership: Lead audit engagements, managing the planning, execution, direction, and completion of financial audits.
- Accounting Application: Apply generally accepted accounting principles and reporting rules to ensure accurate financial statement presentation.
- Client Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses to provide tailored advice and solutions.
- Client Interaction: Proactively communicate with key client management to collect information, resolve issues, and make recommendations for process improvement.
- Risk and Quality Management: Maintain high standards of risk awareness, integrity, and confidentiality throughout audit processes.
- Education: Fully ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Audit team.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English; proficiency in Maltese is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of liaising with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and professional, able to build trust and maintain positive client relationships.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills considered an advantage.
- Organisation: Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed records.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Problem-Solving: Quick to adapt to changing circumstances and capable of identifying solutions to client and business challenges.
