- Carry out instructions given by cleaning supervisor, head of department operating in, quality assurance team and management.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical detergents at the right concentration and equipment in order to prevent damage to these, contamination of food and/or hurting someone.
- Ensure following strictly cleaning operations instructions giving particular attention to electrical equipment.
- Do not use the water hose on electrical equipment.
- Always clean dishes by scraping food bits first and discarding food pieces in the garbage bin.
- Use signs whenever required e.g., Wet floor sign when washing floors.
- Report any pest sighting & faulty equipment.
- Empty garbage bins and waste baskets regularly and transport immediately to disposal area. Ensure there is no contact with food use separate corridor or time separation for waste transfer.
- Keeping doors and windows leading to outside closed at all times or monitored while open to avoid pest access.
- Clean & disinfects all food contact surfaces by drying and cleans and dries all other non-food contact surfaces in the premises.
- To wash properly all pots, pans and equipment.
- Signs records duly after each job.
- Reports to work on time, well-groomed and changes into a clean uniform at work
- Must wear no jewellery and perfume.
- Employee must be able to determine the neatness and accuracy of the work assigned.
- Minimum Food handlers license B or as applicable.
- Exercise good communication with other employees at least in English or Maltese.
- Good command of spoken English or Maltese.
- Chemical training.
