Our client, a leading professional services firm, is currently seeking to recruit an Auditor to join its growing team. The selected candidate will gain exposure to an international client portfolio across a variety of industries, while benefiting from strong career progression opportunities and continuous professional development.Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the execution of audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Completing smaller audit assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Supporting senior team members on larger audits and ensuring work is carried out in line with audit methodologies and professional standards.
  • Applying knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including IFRS, GAPSME, ISA, and the Companies Act.
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction in terms of quality and delivery.
  • Monitoring progress against engagement plans and adapting where necessary.
  • Utilising audit tools and firm software to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, contributing ideas, and collaborating within the audit team.
  • Supporting the development of a positive, team-oriented working environment.
  • Continuously developing technical knowledge and staying up to date with industry changes.
  • Identifying value-added insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Escalating ethical, independence, or conflict issues to management when necessary.
  • Managing time effectively across multiple engagements and demonstrating good organisational skills.
  • Assisting managers in reviewing audit work and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the role.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in an audit role.
  • Currently in the process of obtaining an ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
