A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm looking for a Junior Accountant to join their growing team. In this role, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate records, and support client audits and compliance processes.This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €30K.Role & ResponsibilitiesOversee daily bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and completenessMaintain company accounting records and prepare regular management reportsPrepare and submit documentation required for statutory and regulatory complianceProcess necessary system entries prior to the preparation of management accountsPrepare monthly management accounts with a high level of accuracyProduce regular financial reports and support the budgeting processLiaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant regulationsPrepare and submit VAT returns in a timely mannerPresent and explain financial information to non-financial stakeholdersEducation, Skills & ExperienceCurrently studying or working towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA1+ years working experience in a similar role in Malta - non-negotiableFluent in English, both written and spokenKnowledge of another language is considered an assetStrong MS365 skills, particularly Excel and WordExperience with accounting software is considered an advantageStrong communication and active listening skillsExcellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detailProactive mindset with the ability to think outside the boxStrong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectivelyTeam player with the ability to collaborate across different departmentsAbout the roleSalary of up to €30KMostly working from company office.
