UN1Q is set on creating a paradigm shift in the world of fitness and wellness by creating the first advanced AI- driven software to provide clients and trainers with world-class individualized exercise, nutrition and health behaviour programming and delivery. Existing fitness knowledge is incorporated into expert logic and supported by Computer Vision analysis with an architecture that is designed to leverage machine learning for ongoing improvement. Development has so far been outsourced to a Software Development company and the selected candidate will be part of the initial process of transitioning the front-end development to an in-house team located in Malta and working remotely or hybrid.Tasks

Work together with a distributed team of Technical Lead, front-end engineers and designers to deliver quality features for a multi-platform product.
Implement designs and specifications created using ERD and other UML techniques using various related technologies.
Writing structured, maintainable, Object-Oriented code in PHP (and possibly other languages) according to industry best practices and company guidelines.
Collaborate with other contributors using distributed VCS, project management, coding, design, and other tools.
Use principles and methodologies such as TDD, DDD, and SOLID to ensure a robust and maintainable implementation

RequirementsThe candidate must be resident in Malta or willing to relocate to Malta.4-8 years of experience with PHP with ideally 2 years in Laravel. Experience with other PHP frameworks, engines, and tools will be considered an asset.4-8 years of experience with PHP, using a MySQL database or similar; experience with other backend scripting languages will be considered an asset.Solid real-world experience with the following:

Git
A modern IDE
A comprehensive Project Management system
Asynchronous work in a distributed, multicultural team.

Experience with the following will also be considered an asset:

Github
Bash, or another Linux shell
Docker/Docker Compose/Laravel Sail
CI/CD environments and configuration
API design and implementation, OpenAPI
Database architecture and optimization
Jira/Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite
Google suite tools
PHPStorm
Postman

In addition the candidate should be:
