Software Developer

• Write, test, and maintain code to meet requirements/specifications
• Develop software solutions that align with the organization's goals and industry best practices
• Analyse and troubleshoot complex issues in code and software systems
• Identify and assess opportunities for business process automation, and collaborate with stakeholders
• Work closely with clients or end-users to gather requirements, provide updates, and address feedback during the development process
• Follow coding standards, conventions, and best practices to maintain consistency and code quality
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including code documentation, system architecture, and development processes
• Ensure the handover of documentation and training to the IT support team
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology
• Any other duties that may be required depending on the exigencies of the business at the time

• Bachelor`s degree in computer science or related field.
• Professional certifications to demonstrate software development mastery
• Good programming and coding skills (Java, HTML 5, JavaScript, Python)
• Proficient in working with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Proficient with the design and consumption of RESTful APIs
• Experience with version control systems like Git and understanding of branching and merging strategies
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Understanding of databases, ETL pipelines and data pipelines would be considered an asset
• Proficient using Microsoft 365 tools and the ability to design, develop and maintain custom applications and automated workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate will be considered an asset
