Regulatory Reporting InternThe RoleAs part of our Finance & Treasury Department, you will assist the Senior Officer in supporting the Bank's regulatory reporting function.Key Responsibilities
  • Helping to compile an accurate, timely, and complete regulatory and statistical reporting returns (for example: FINREP, COREP, BR06).
  • Helping to prepare prompt replies to queries from supervisory authorities and any necessary follow-ups.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the Bank's reporting framework and following up on upgrades and fixes to regulatory reporting systems and data warehouses, including user acceptance testing of reporting software.
  • Ensuring a high level of data quality, including performing regular data quality checks and making sure data is consistent across multiple reports.
  • Updating internal documentation and manuals as needed.
  • Preparing any ad-hoc statistical or management reporting requested by the Department's Management and providing timely and accurate feedback on related queries.
Skills and Requirements
  • Currently studying towards, or recently graduated from, a tertiary-level qualification in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Mathematics and Statistics, or a related field, with no prior professional experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and ability to work efficiently with data files.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude, always willing to learn and improve.
  • Some exposure to banking regulations such as CRR, CRD IV, and MFSA Banking Rules through university studies, or any prior experience in a bank, will be considered an asset.
