In-House Counsel (Legal & Compliance)
Hybrid - Full Time
Location - Romania or MaltaThis role provides end-to-end legal and compliance support across a multinational iGaming group. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, the role acts as a key legal advisor to internal teams.Key responsibilities:
  • Legal support: Provide day-to-day legal advice on commercial, corporate, operational, and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts
  • Support corporate governance, internal structuring, and legal documentation.
  • Advise on areas such as gaming law, AML/CFT, data protection, IP, tax, IT, employment, and commercial law.
  • Manage intellectual property (e.g., trademarks and enforcement actions).
  • Conduct legal research and track regulatory changes across jurisdictions.
  • Compliance support: Advise on compliance matters including gaming, AML/CFT, consumer protection, and competition law.
  • Help develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and risk registers.
  • Manage licensing, certifications, audits, and regulatory submissions across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and support remediation actions.
  • Contribute to training and compliance awareness across the business.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' in-house legal experience, ideally in iGaming (B2B preferred) or a regulated industry.
  • Strong expertise in gaming, commercial, corporate, employment, IT, AML/CFT, and IP law.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and handling regulatory/audit processes.
  • Strong English communication skills and proficiency with tools like Jira, Google Suite, MS Office, and AI tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, business-focused, and willing to travel occasionally.
