- Platform Ownership – Manage and optimize CDN, DNS, WAF, edge functions (NodeJS), and IIS applications, ensuring high reliability, security, and performance.
- Cloud & Infrastructure as Code – Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on scalability, repeatability, and GitOps best practices.
- Automation & Configuration Management – Build automation workflows using Ansible, and Git to improve deployment velocity and reduce manual effort.
- Cloud Native Transformation – Support the organization’s shift from on-premise to AWS cloud-native workloads, introducing edge-first strategies where appropriate.
- Kubernetes Integration – Collaborate with container platform teams to integrate workloads with Kubernetes where needed, ensuring seamless connectivity with edge services.
- Collaboration & Guidance – Work closely with developers, architects, and security engineers to integrate WAF, CDN, and DNS changes into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
- Monitoring & Reliability – Define and track metrics, logs, and traces across platform services to proactively detect issues, optimize performance, and improve resilience.
- Continuous Improvement – Stay current with industry trends in cloud, CDN, and edge technologies; recommend and implement best practices to evolve the platform.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
- AWS Cloud practitioner or higher would be beneficial.
- Proven hands-on experience with:
- AWS services (CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, Route 53, WAF, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Git/GitOps workflows
- Kubernetes (good understanding, with ability to integrate workloads)
- Configuration management (Ansible)
- IIS application management
- Scripting (JavaScript/NodeJS preferred)
- Strong understanding of platform reliability, networking fundamentals (DNS, CDN routing, edge services), and application delivery.
- Experience in implementing secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of observability pillars (logs, metrics, tracing) and proactive monitoring practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to new technologies and evolving requirements.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and ITIL best practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
