Boston Link is representing an electronic money institution (EMI) backed by blockchain technology, with a focus on regulated asset managers across the digital assets industry. The company is well-backed by digital asset pioneers operating across London and Switzerland.The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be based in Malta and play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the inward-facing operational aspects of the electronic money business.Reporting directly to the CEO, we are looking for a hands-on, execution focused COO who will be responsible for converting the business strategy into operational deliverables. You'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, vendor and partnership relationships and cost management of the company in alignment with the strategic objectives of the company and with a strong awareness of regulatory compliance.The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in leadership roles within a fintech business.
Current or previous approval by the MFSA under an EMI license (PQ'ed)
In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology, electronic money regulations, and financial services compliance.
Solid grasp of data analysis, financial management and performance metrics.
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams
Results-driven with a track record of achieving operational goals.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the European financial sector is a bonus
