The primary purpose of a Ducting Installer is to design, fabricate, and assemble ductwork systems that facilitate efficient airflow in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.Duties & Key Responsibilities: - Cut and shape sheet metal or pre-insulated duct (e.g., PIR) to form HVAC ductwork using appropriate hand and power tools. - Place sheets on worktables and measure/mark according to technical specifications or drawings. - Cut wedge-shaped grooves as needed and fold to form rectangular ducts. - Fasten open edges using pneumatic staplers or other fixings. - Seal joints with aluminium tape to ensure an airtight finish. - Label each section with the correct model or identification number. - Move completed ductwork to designated storage or loading areas. - Read working drawings and identify the correct size and location of ducts. - Cut and install the appropriate brackets for each duct section. - Securely install ducts in the correct sequence, ensuring alignment and proper support. - Apply sealing materials (e.g., foil tape, mastic) to prevent air leaks. - Work closely with HVAC technicians and follow the installation plan. - Ensure all work is carried out to quality standards and in compliance with safety regulations. - Ability to read and interpret HVAC working drawings and duct layout plans. - Basic knowledge of duct sizes, fittings, and installation sequences. - Competent in handling hand tools and duct fabrication equipment. - Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces. - Reliable, organized, and able to follow instructions precisely. - Team-oriented with good communication and time management skills. - Follow all site and factory safety procedures, including the use of PPE (helmet, gloves, safety boots, etc.). - Maintain a clean and safe working area. - Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor. - Adhere to company health and safety policies and participate in toolbox talks as required.ProfilesIf multiple Education and Language Profiles are defined, please note that you must fit at least one of them, but not necessarily all.PROFILE 1LanguageReadingSpeakingUnderstandingWritingENGLISHMALTESEISCED Level: Post-secondary non-tertiary education - Level (4)Subjects:Subject Level Grade

Arrange/secure construction site by installing scaffolds, fall protection, safety lines, storage place for equipment
Dry surfaces to be processed (roofs, terraces...)
Place acoustic or thermal insulation
Put soundproofing material on roofs and terraces
