The successful candidate will provide urgent patient care, triage services, and essential administrative support, ensuring smooth operations, patient safety, and a high standard of service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Reception & Registration
Welcome patients and visitors, verify reason for visit, and direct them to the correct department.
Register new patients and verify existing records using the hospital information system (Compucare), ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection policies
Triage & Medical care
Assess patients based on medical urgency and prioritize care accordingly.
Assist the team during emergencies
Manage admission processes
Administrative & Billing Procedures
Process billing for patients, companies, and account holders.
Manage payments via cash, card, and cheque, and handle deposits, insurance details, and Guarantee of Payment (GOP) requests.
Coordination & Communication
Professionally handle calls, emails, and after-hours emergency communications.
Alert on-call staff (e.g., consultants, radiology, laboratory) and liaise with the Liaison Officer for admissions.
Patient Flow & Waiting Area Management
Monitor and manage the waiting area to ensure patients are attended to in priority order.
Address and escalate patient concerns or complaints promptly.
Stock & Supplies Management
Conduct regular stock checks of medical supplies and medications.
Place orders, maintain adequate inventory, and ensure equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Compliance & Professional Standards
Adhere to hospital policies, data protection laws, and infection control protocols.
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a high standard of patient care at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician or Healthcare Assistant, preferably in a hospital setting.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using computer and computer devices
Soft Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; ability to remain calm under pressure.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of billing processes, medical protocols, and basic patient care procedures.
Working Conditions
Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Exposure to medical emergencies, biohazards, and high-pressure situations
