Danish Bakery Ltd is seeking to recruit a Chef to join its dynamic team on a full-time basis.Danish Bakery was established in 2001 taking the Jesper’s brand under its wing which is one of the leading bakeries in Malta dating back to 1989. The chosen candidate will form part of a small team in an innovative growing business. Responsibilities will include: • Planning food preparation for daily menu; • Preparing meals such as sandwiches, salads, wraps & hot items; • Plan packaging and work in collaboration with Quality Management to ensure correct labelling of kitchen items; • Liaise with Procurement to ensure stock quantities and stock replenishment; • Work with the Development Team to fulfill market trend and market demands; • Maintain product quality and consistency; • Maintain kitchen hygiene standards; • Maintain HACCP procedures. Skills and qualifications required: • At least 1 - 2 years experience working in a similar position; • The ability of prepare recipes correctly; • The ability to be innovative with new products; • The ability to work under minimal supervision; • Knowledge of product costings; • The candidate must have experience within the food preparation including the grab and go products, cold snacking as well as hot meals. The applicant is required to be an honest, punctual and organized person. He / she must be ready to work morning hours from Monday to Friday with an exception for Saturdays as per business requirement. Manage stock; record shortages; place orders
