- Assist with the preparation and review of legal and notarial contracts, ensuring all deadlines are met;
- Provide guidance and support to staff within the Legal and Contracts Directorates;
- Support the planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the Directorates;
- Liaise with notaries, legal advisors, and other external stakeholders as required;
- Stay up to date with local and international legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Authority;
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, including relevant local and EU regulations;
- Provide legal advice and support to senior management and various departments, including the CEO;
- Manage and oversee litigation matters and provide legal representation where required;
- Conduct legal research and provide advice on contractual, regulatory, and data protection matters;
- Represent the Company in the signing of contracts and legal documentation;
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents, including deeds and private writings in line with applicable legislation;
- Oversee post-publication processes, notarial registers, and indexing of deeds;
- Provide advice on procedural and general notarial matters;
- Lead and support the team, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and achievement of departmental objectives;
- Report to senior management on operational issues and recommend improvements where necessary;
- Promote a professional, collaborative, and positive work environment;
- Ensure high standards of quality and accuracy across all deliverables;
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback and development support;
- Assist with additional duties as required across departments in line with organisational needs.
- In possession of a Law Degree and a warrant to practice in the Courts of Malta and Gozo, with at least 1 year of experience in a legal or notarial role. Alternatively, in possession of a Law Degree and currently in the process of obtaining a warrant, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the legal or notarial field;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong command of Maltese and English, both written and spoken.
