About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance operations and manage a small team of accountants. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach to financial reporting, and experience in multi-entity environments. This role is ideal for professionals with audit and in-house finance experience who are now ready to take ownership of accounting processes and help drive efficiency and compliance across the business.Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across local and international entities
Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements, and statutory filings (IFRS / GAPSME)
Oversee VAT and tax submissions, ensuring compliance in multiple jurisdictions
Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, supporting training and development
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies (MFSA, MBR, etc.)
Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls

Maintain accurate records intercompany transactions and reconciliations * Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

Contribute to automation and optimisation projects in reporting and data management
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and group finance teams

RequirementsProfessional qualification: ACCA qualified or equivalent (CPA, MIA, etc.)Minimum 3 years of accounting and finance experience, ideally with exposure to auditSolid understanding of IFRS, VAT, and financial regulationsProven experience managing teams or mentoring junior staffProficient in accounting systems such as SAP, Navision, NetSuite, or similarExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skills; experience with automation tools or business intelligence systems is a plusStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsExperience in the financial services, gaming, or tech sector is considered an assetWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environmentCareer development and continuous learning supportExposure to international finance operationsHybrid working model available
