- Drafting, updating, and reviewing of policies, procedures, and other relevant documents.
- Drafting, updating, and implementing of the compliance monitoring programme.
- Assisting with the implementation of the risk management process.
- Drafting and reviewing of regulatory reports as well as reports to senior management.
- Testing of tools to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and that adequately manage risks.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Assisting in the implementation of the ESG framework.
- Generating awareness material on relevant compliance and risk management topics.
- Provision of training in relation to compliance and risk management topics.
- Assisting the counter financial crime team as necessary.
- Undertaking client projects in relation to compliance and risk management aspects.
- An undergraduate university degree (or equivalent) in law, financial services, criminology, compliance, risk management or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACAMS, ICA, ICBF, or in GDPR would be an asset.
- At least 1 year of experience in the same field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong command of both written and oral English.
- Knowledge in using MS Office applications.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
