Our Client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented finance professional to support day-to-day accounting operations and client financial processes. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing activities, assisting with reporting requirements, and working closely with internal finance personnel to ensure smooth credit and sales administration functions.Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management Support: Assist in monitoring and updating inventory control records to ensure accuracy and consistency across the system.
- Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and issue customer invoices, including recurring contractual charges and other agreed billing arrangements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Compile periodic sales and financial summaries for clients, including yearly commission calculations and related statements for management review.
- Receipts & Credit Support: Process incoming sales payments linked to food and beverage operations while providing administrative support to credit control activities.
- Client Credit Monitoring & Commission Calculations: Liaise with internal credit control functions regarding overdue accounts and compute periodic commission entitlements for vending-related clients.
- General Finance Administration: Support the Finance Manager with additional tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Education: A level in Accounts is required. Candidate currently in the process of obtaining ACCA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification are preferred.
- Experience: Previous exposure to a similar finance or administrative role will be considered advantageous, though not essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Able to communicate clearly with internal teams and external clients in a professional manner.
- Interpersonal Skills: Works effectively as part of a team while also engaging confidently with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage will be considered an advantage.
- Organisation: Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently while ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
- Self-Motivated: Demonstrates a proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Problem-Solving: Able to identify discrepancies and resolve basic accounting or administrative issues effectively.
