Job DescriptionOur client, a prestigious finance and structured trade bank in Malta, is seeking an experienced IT Core Banking Systems Specialist to join their team. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on innovation, our client offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the financial sector.The role primarily involves maintaining and supporting critical software applications within the bank. Responsibilities include managing the bank's IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, performing installations and upgrades, resolving IT issues, and implementing cybersecurity policies.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure, preferably in the financial services industry.
Experience with core banking systems, ETL, databases, and scripting.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and architectures.
Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
Strong understanding of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization.
Professional certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the bank's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software applications, virtualized environments, networking, and security devices.
Ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure by monitoring and performing regular maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting IT operations, liaising with third-party service providers when necessary.
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies in alignment with industry standards.
Contribute to the successful implementation of new IT projects and initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date documentation related to the bank's infrastructure.
