Our client, a privately held Fintech Group operating in Fund Administration, Investment Services, Online Investing, and Payments, is looking for an Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping duties, assisting with VAT returns and management accounts, while supporting the Accounting Manager.This is an office-based role and offers a salary of up to €50K + performance bonus, depending on experience.Role & ResponsibilitiesLead monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reportingSupervise the preparation of financial statements and management accountsAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesConduct detailed variance analyses and provide insightsEnsure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and journal entriesCoordinate with external auditors and provide support during auditsReview and optimize accounting processes to improve efficiencyEnsure compliance with regulatory and industry standardsAssist in the preparation and submission of VAT returnsPrepare and review annual and semi-annual financial statements for reporting purposesEducation, Skills & ExperienceACCA, CPA qualification, or equivalent3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with CSP experience in MaltaFluency in English at a C2 or native level (written and spoken)Strong understanding of IFRSProficient in MS365 applications, especially ExcelExcellent communication skillsAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlinesAnalytical with a keen eye for detailAble to work independently and as part of a teamAbout the RoleSalary of up to €50K depending on experiencePerformance bonusOffice-based in BirkirkaraSupport for professional qualifications and study leaveHealth insuranceFitness and mental health allowanceOpportunity for career growthApply with your detailed CV, please.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
