- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Audit Facilitation: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, implementing audit recommendations, and liaising with external auditors.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and company policies including a review of the methods used for calculating VAT.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in achieving compliance with applicable securities laws, regulations, and listing requirements imposed by regulatory authorities and stock exchanges as a listed company should comply with.
- Tax Compliance Support: Assist in tax preparation, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Collaborate with tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Risk Management: Assess and analyze financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Monitor internal controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen the control environment.
- Assist in General Ledger Management and Review: Support the integrity of the general ledger by reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and reviewing financial transactions.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommend solutions for streamlining and enhancing controls.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews, to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Oversee the financial aspects of acquisitions: Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards from due diligence to integration in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to facilitate smooth acquisition processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with the focus on audit
- Strong understanding of GAAP, audit procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in the iGaming industry is a plus
- Previous acquisition (M&A) experience is highly desirable
- Experience with Dynamics Business Central
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
