BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their team in Malta.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Regulatory Compliance team, including training and mentoring.
  • Oversee daily regulatory activities and key projects to ensure online Sportsbook and Casino operations comply with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Implement and maintain compliance control systems, partnering with Sportsbook, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and regularly update regulatory policies and operational procedures.
  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory authorities and integrity monitoring partners.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, audits, responses, and remediation plans.
  • Partner with the Integrity Manager to maintain an integrity monitoring framework and manage reporting obligations.
  • Manage license renewals and regulatory change processes.
  • Support broader compliance strategy and departmental goals.
  • Deliver compliance advisory support and training to staff.
  • Analyse regulatory requirements for new jurisdictions to support market expansion.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' progressive experience in sports betting and/or iGaming regulatory compliance, including direct regulator engagement.
  • Proven experience leading compliance teams and driving accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional online gambling regulatory frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Law degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-impact regulatory matters under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with license applications, renewals, audits, and regulatory change management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging regulators and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple regulatory projects simultaneously.
  • Commercially astute, balancing regulatory risk with business objectives across B2C and B2B environments.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented, providing clear, risk-based recommendations.
  • Skilled in implementing structured regulatory change initiatives across departments.
