Job Title: Financial AccountantLocation: Valletta, Malta (Hybrid role)We ae seeking a Financial Accountant to join our client's team in Malta. This role presents a unique opportunity for individuals with a background in auditing, financial accounting, and management accounting to contribute to our organization's growth and success.Responsibilities:o Perform financial accounting duties for our client in Malta and its subsidiary entities, including but not limited to:o Preparation of financial statementso Financial analysis and reportingo Budgeting and forecastingo General ledger reconciliationso Collaborate with the financial controlling team and report to the Finance and Reports Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.o Support the management accounting function for new entities that Cross Border Talents will establish under its name, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to financial management.o Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.Requirements:o Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.o Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in auditing or financial services industries. Experience in Big4 firms such as EY, KPMG, Deloitte, or PwC is highly desirable.o Exposure to global environments through previous work in audit firms, multinational companies, or similar payment industries.o Familiarity with management accounting principles and practices, with the ability to adapt to the needs of newly established entities.o EU citizenship or Maltese residency status is required. We do not provide work permit visas for third-national citizens.o Experience in gaming industries or financial services sectors is advantageous.o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team environment.o Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, with a combination of office and remote work (3 days in office, 2 days at home).o Candidates based in Malta will be given preference, followed by those in close proximity (Italy, Spain, Poland).Immediate availability is preferred due to the urgency of the position or else relevant notice is fine.
