Cybersecurity Consultant

• Policy Development and Implementation: Design, evaluate, and maintain cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory expectations, industry standards, and organisational risk considerations.
• Technical Advisory: Provide high-level technical input across cybersecurity domains such as system design, threat management, and incident handling, supporting critical decision-making processes.
• Threat Analysis and Mitigation: Examine emerging risks and vulnerabilities in depth, translating findings into practical recommendations and robust security measures.
• Secure Systems Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external technical teams to ensure that systems and applications are designed and implemented with strong security controls in place.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Representation: Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, offering expert guidance, contributing to discussions, and representing the organisation in both local and international forums.

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field with extensive relevant experience. A Master’s degree in a similar discipline with significant professional exposure is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 7–8 years’ experience within cybersecurity, digital regulation, trust services, or related areas, ideally within a regulated or digital services environment.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present complex technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, digital identity technologies, and regulatory standards, along with familiarity with relevant tools, certifications, and emerging technologies.
• Organisation: Capable of managing multiple priorities, maintaining structured documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and ownership, with a proactive approach to staying current with industry developments and regulatory changes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
