Job DescriptionOur client, a group of companies in the wholesale and retail sector, are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be a key contributor to strategic decision-making and risk management, offering financial leadership and insights to enhance the company's financial performance and support operational efficiency.The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Overseeing the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the company's goals and long-term vision;
Leading the annual budgeting process and providing regular forecasts to support strategic and operational decision-making;
Preparing and delivering accurate, timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to the Board of Directors;
Conducting financial reviews and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and growth;
Managing the company's capital structure to ensure efficient resource allocation and maintain financial stability;
Establishing and enforcing robust risk management policies and procedures to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance;
Leading and mentoring a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous development; and,
Effectively communicating financial performance and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies.
The ideal candidate will have:
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. CPA Warrant Holder;
Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar executive financial leadership role;
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and strategic planning;
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and forecasting methods. with the ability to make sound financial decisions;
Exceptional organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization;
Strong leadership skills, demonstrating highly ethical and professional competence;
Proficient in the use of financial management software; and,
Demonstrated leadership experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
