Our Client is looking for a motivated Associate Lawyer specialising in Employment Law to join its legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on employment-related matters, manage diverse client cases, and contribute to multidisciplinary projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services.Key Responsibilities
- Client Advisory: Offer practical and clear legal guidance on employment law issues, including regulatory compliance, workplace disputes, and contractual matters.
- Legal Drafting: Conduct research and prepare legal opinions, contracts, internal policies, judicial documents, and procedural frameworks.
- Compliance Oversight: Assist clients with processes such as job evaluations, equal pay considerations, and adherence to employment legislation.
- Litigation Support: Provide assistance and representation in court and tribunal proceedings, supporting dispute resolution strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across practice areas to support complex legal assignments and contribute to the broader legal team’s success.
- Education: Degree in Law and in possession of a warrant to practice law in Malta.
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house, with practical exposure to employment and industrial relations matters.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required.
- Communication Skills: Able to convey legal concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Interpersonal Skills: Skilled at building strong client relationships, collaborating effectively with colleagues, and working within diverse teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical and legal drafting abilities, with in-depth understanding of employment legislation and related regulatory frameworks.
- Organisation: Able to prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive, adaptable, and committed to developing expertise while contributing to the growth of the practice.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of evaluating issues objectively and delivering practical, actionable solutions.
