Structural Engineer

• Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of steel structures, ensuring that the foundations, buildings, and other infrastructure are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective for manufacturing purposes.

• Work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to integrate structural designs into manufacturing facilities and other industrial constructions.

• Utilize advanced structural engineering software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD Pro, Tekla) to perform detailed structural calculations, ensuring compliance with EU and Maltese building codes and standards.

• Provide technical oversight and guidance during construction, ensuring that all structural elements are built according to specifications and quality standards.

• Ensure that all designs and plans adhere to the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

• Perform site visits to monitor progress, evaluate work quality, and assess the integrity of existing structures for potential upgrades or retrofits.

• Prepare detailed reports, structural calculations, and technical drawings to be submitted for regulatory approvals and project development.

• Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) or Master`s degree (MQF Level 7) in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on steel structures.

• Maltese Valid Warrant.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural engineering, ideally within the steel or industrial manufacturing sector is considered an asset.

• Expertise in structural design software (Advanced Steel, ETABS, STAAD Pro, Tekla, etc.).

• Thorough knowledge of EU and Maltese building codes, standards, and construction regulations (e.g., Eurocodes).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to oversee large-scale industrial projects.

• Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
