- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of steel structures, ensuring that the foundations, buildings, and other infrastructure are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective for manufacturing purposes.
- Work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to integrate structural designs into manufacturing facilities and other industrial constructions.
- Utilize advanced structural engineering software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD Pro, Tekla) to perform detailed structural calculations, ensuring compliance with EU and Maltese building codes and standards.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance during construction, ensuring that all structural elements are built according to specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure that all designs and plans adhere to the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Perform site visits to monitor progress, evaluate work quality, and assess the integrity of existing structures for potential upgrades or retrofits.
- Prepare detailed reports, structural calculations, and technical drawings to be submitted for regulatory approvals and project development.
- Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) or Master`s degree (MQF Level 7) in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on steel structures.
- Maltese Valid Warrant.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural engineering, ideally within the steel or industrial manufacturing sector is considered an asset.
- Expertise in structural design software (Advanced Steel, ETABS, STAAD Pro, Tekla, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of EU and Maltese building codes, standards, and construction regulations (e.g., Eurocodes).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to oversee large-scale industrial projects.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
