In collaboration with our Client, Herox is seeking a talented Frontend Developer to design and implement engaging, high-performance user interfaces for its digital banking platforms. This role bridges creative design and technical execution, ensuring customers experience smooth, responsive, and visually consistent digital interactions across web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with design, backend, and product teams to create innovative solutions that meet business and user needs.Key Responsibilities
- UI/UX Development: Build and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces that provide intuitive and seamless customer experiences.
- Design Integration: Translate wireframes and high-fidelity designs into functional, maintainable code, ensuring all UI/UX concepts are technically feasible.
- Performance Optimisation: Enhance client-side applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility, delivering smooth and reliable functionality.
- State & Data Management: Implement efficient client-side state management to support complex dashboards and interactive features.
- API Collaboration: Work alongside Backend Developers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication between frontend interfaces and server-side systems.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive frontend testing and debugging, maintaining accessibility, security, and brand standards.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all visual components and interactions align with the Company’s branding and digital design system.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of emerging frontend technologies and trends to maintain modern, efficient, and innovative platforms.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Design, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in frontend development, with prior exposure to dashboard or financial application projects highly advantageous.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work closely with designers, backend developers, and product owners in a dynamic, Agile environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular. Familiarity with Git, NPM/Yarn, and build tools like Webpack or Vite. Competence with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and responsive design principles.
